We are looking for a Content Marketing Strategist to join our Studio90 team. You will be SEO and content optimization focused and will act as a disciplinary expert to help our brand teams continually optimize both editorial and sponsored content, the distribution strategies of content, and brand websites (as it pertains to SEO). 

Due to the dynamic environment produced by constant changes to search algorithms, the Content Marketing Strategist continuously learns, monitors analytics, and tweaks approaches/strategies to continually refine their working methodologies and the best practices they bring to our brand teams. 

While this is mainly an SEO role, we are also looking for someone to consider the SEO impact in relation to other channels of audience engagement. We make decisions based on data at all levels, so this role will include collaborating with other teams to provide insights into brand + client content strategy across search, social media, and other distribution channels.

This is a remote position and is open to candidates based in the United States. We also have an office in Secaucus, New Jersey for those who favor to be in an office. 


What You’ll Do:

Serve as subject matter expert in search engine marketing and content optimization, and build, develop, and own an SEO best practices strategy for our Northstar brands.

  • Establish and maintain real-time SEO analytics dashboards and/or performance resources for our brands.
  • Train relevant edit, website, social, and custom content teams on SEO and content optimization best practices and methodologies while building a culture around continued optimizations.
  • Work with internal tech teams and relevant third parties to ensure technical and non-technical SEO best practices are in place for our brands and are constantly evolving.
  • Collaborate with Product, Digital Operations, Software Development, Executive, and Editorial teams to implement SEO improvements and execute SEO-related projects.
  • Collaborate with Product, Production, Sales, and Custom Content teams to make strategic recommendations pertaining to client programs and client’s custom content based on the client’s campaign goals and objectives.
  • Spearhead new sponsored content products based on industry trends, audience data, and competitive research.
  • Seek additional content opportunities outside of existing channels, then develop and lead plans to execute.


Who You Are:

  • Expertise with search engine optimization and content optimization.
  • Comfortable being the go-to and acting as a disciplinary lead for multiple brand teams.
  • Comfortable interacting regularly with both technical subject matter experts as well as business owners of all organizational levels, presenting complex information in a way that is easy to understand, and tailoring it to different audiences.
  • Experience in recommending/creating search-specific content.
  • You have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • You have strong analytical skills, are proficient with analytical tools (such as Excel, Google Analytics, etc.), and can draw actionable insights from the data.
  • You are extremely detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and prioritizing as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • You have experience with Google Webmaster Tools
  • You have experience with SEO and keyword research tools, such as; SEMRush, Google Search Console, Deep Crawl, etc.
  • You have experience working with content management systems.
  • You must be able to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues across different disciplines.
  • Advanced content writing, editing, and storytelling skills as related to the industries the Northstar brands serve a plus.
