SECAUCUS, N.J. – Travel Weekly relaunched TravelWeekly.com with a host of new functionality and features. The enhanced website showcases a new design and restructured navigation with an emphasis on multimedia, real-time financials, improved site navigation and social media links. The new TravelWeekly.com's expanded menus guide readers to information they need anywhere on the site, from news to opinion to jobs and special industry events. Embedded viewers showcase slideshows from major industry events as well as videos from around the globe, shot by both Travel Weekly's editorial team and professional videographers. "What doesn't change is TravelWeekly.com's commitment to breaking news," said Travel Weekly Editor in Chief Arnie Weissmann. "the site will continue to deliver the most important and relevant travel industry stories as they unfold." Readers will also be able to keep abreast of the day's headlines via Twitter and Travel Weekly's new Facebook page. And readers are invited to discuss and comment upon the day's news both via social medal links and directly on the new site, with a simple one-time confidential registration. "The launch of our new website takes Travel Weekly to the next level in digital media," said Bob Sullivan, executive vice president and group publisher of Travel Weekly. "TravelWeekly.com has significantly more information, streamlined design and navigation plus new features like Topic pages, real-time financial tracking and a revamped Jobs section."
TravelWeekly.com's Topic pages will deliver significant benefits to site visitors by offering news and information specific to key industry sectors in one central and searchable location. In addition to news and feature articles, expanded Topic pages provide tools for travel agents and other travel professionals. Some of the features available include insights written by Travel Weekly's editorial team, travel guides available via travel42, fams and deals, plus e-learning services including educational seminars and video webinars. Also new to the redesign is an interactive Finance page, a real-time version of the Travel Weekly Index, which tracks the share prices of publicly traded travel companies. The Index is available both within constantly updated windows on the home page and on the new Finance page, keeping readers informed of the industry's latest market performance. Travel Weekly has also focused on creating an all-inclusive Jobs page, enabling job seekers to upload resumes and set up search parameters to have job posting that match their criteria emailed to them 24/7.
In addition, the Travel Weekly Network - Hotel and Travel Index, Official Cruise Guide and the World of Luxury - are an integral part of the site, easily accessible from tabs at the top of the page throughout the website.
