Travel Group has announced today the unveiling of a new travel smartphone app
with the technology and expertise of Itoorer, a developer of global technology
solutions for travel connectivity. The Mobeo travel app allows the traveler to
stay connected with enabled internet data access, free international calls,
secure Wi-Fi hotspot sharing, city guides, relevant points of interest, and
many more features in one convenient travel app.
As well as enabling
connectivity and area information, the app is also infused with content from
travel42, the travel industry's trusted source for destination content. This
dynamic content feed from travel42 provides more than 40,000 points of interest
and 6,000 destinations to the app.
Mobeo's app service can
serve as an excellent revenue generator for the travel advisor, as it enables
the advisor to earn a commission on any data service that a client purchases.
The advantage of the app is that it harnesses the power of the
latest eSIM technology found in newer smartphones. Travelers with eSIM-enabled phones will no longer be limited
to unreliable international data plans and connectivity performance, nor will
they need to swap SIM cards to access local area data service. Instead, they can enable their phones to have two carrier services
on one device. Travelers can avoid data roaming costs by purchasing Mobeo's
daily data plans at a fixed price.
